Problems after upgrade from 15.2.3 to 16.0.3  en

If thinking of upgrading from 15.2.3 to 16.0.3 I (should have) would wait for the next release, after I found several problems:

1) Language file is not migrated with projects, thus any changes have to be re-entered;

2) Weather Object does not function correctly i.e. image file not displayed and other icon / images not displaying;

3) Table objects are not migrated correctly losing background colours, text in some cells and formating need to be corrected;

4) Calendar object is not displaying the appointments even after re-loading the ICO calendar file;

5) Number of objects have to be re-installed or upgraded.

On the bright side, the projects did migrate and was able to do a deployment without any problems.

Hi Dave,

I will address these issues one by one:

1_ This is actually correct. It is still necessary to manually export and import the language files in order to keep those

2_ This issue has been reported and is currently under analysis by the developers.

3_ I will proceed to reporting this issue that I could verify personally

4_ This is probably due to an already present issue with the Calendar Object, which is currently again under examination

5_ I couldn't encounter this issue. Might it be that some update for an object was released during your update period?

Thank you for your patience while we take care of these matters. I will notify you here once news come in about any of these

Stefano

Thanks Stefano,

I will create an idea post for (1) as if migrating projects the language file / settings should also be migrated. In regards to (5), all objects had been previously installed or upgraded and there may have been a few gifts i.e. Shinnystat Counter in this release as they are normally offerred free. However, out of the previous objects there were a number that were in Ready for Installation or Upgrade status that required action - from memory these were (but not inclusive) Bookeo, Social, Bing Translator, Hover Button, Metreo Italy, some of the Galleries, PPT/PPS File..etc.

Therefore not sure if the release changed these or if the upgrade installation should have simply upgraded and migrated these, but was an additional step I was not expecting.

In regards to (3), correction in that the text is still present but due to loss of background colour and formatting in the table the text was not immediately visible.

Hi Dave.

I inform you that we've released a fix for v16 that fixes the tables exported from v15 to v16.

Please try to move your project from the previous version to the new one again, and give me a feedback

Thank you

Stefano

Thanks Stefano, really appreciate this being addressed so quickly and will be of benefit to others, while for myself it was easier to reapply the background colours and fix the formatting.

Apologies though, as I have also made other changes to my 16.0.4 project, I do not want to overwrite or have to export and then re-import it for something that is now fixed.

I really need the Weather object (noting Jennette's fix for the font's) and our infamous Calendar object fixed - do we have an estimated timeframe for these?

Kind Regards!

Dave

I'm glad to inform you that the Weather object should already be fixed, and you can download its latest update directly from inside the software.

About the Calendar, unfortunately there is still no news about it, but be sure I will notify you here as soon as there are

Thank you for your understanding

Hi Stefano, looks like the Calender is still broken in 16.1.1, any update as to when it will be fixed?
