Dynamic content and Contact Form errors  en

I look after several websites for friends and relatives and they are all created with Website X5 Professional Version 2019.3.12 (64 bit).

Recently one of the website owners contacted me to say that the contact form wasn’t working.  I checked and it returns an error message, so I checked my own website and found it to have the same problem.  These websites are hosted on different servers/hosts.

This has now shown up 3 problems.

  1. Captcha characters are not shown so unable to enter and send.
  2. Even without captcha security contact form doesn’t send but displays a page with the error messages as follows:

Warning: include(): Invalid date.timezone value 'BST', we selected the timezone 'UTC' for now. in /home/mywebsite/public_html/res/x5engine.php on line 2426

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '?' in /home/ mywebsite /public_html/res/x5engine.php on line 2426

However, the x5engine.php file only has 208 lines including space, comments and blank lines!

  1. On my website I have a dynamic object which I use as a blog more for testing than an actual blog. When I selected this from the websites menu the following error message was received:

Warning: require_once(): Invalid date.timezone value 'BST', we selected the timezone 'UTC' for now. in /home/ mywebsite /public_html/res/x5engine.php on line 2426

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '?' in /home/ mywebsite/public_html/res/x5engine.php on line 2426

NOTE: I have replaced the actual hosting account name with ‘mywebsite’  in the error messages above.

Essentially this is the same error on both occasions and clearly something wrong in the way that Website X5 Profession is writing the file.

As some of the websites are businesses it is import I try and fix the problem quickly – can anyone help?

To see the problem for yourself my website is:  www.shere2000.co.uk

Hello.

  1. Turn on PHP 7.2 on hosting .
  2. Check that the hosting has been set to your time zone.
  3. Check server logs for errors and request blocking.
  4. Try different shipping methods, such as SMTP.
  5. I see that you are using Incomedia WebSite X5 Pro 2019.3.12 - at the moment it is not a stable version.Try Incomedia WebSite X5 Pro 2019.3.11.
  6. Try to delete all site files from the hosting and perform a complete full upload again.

You can find out how to do this (1-3) in your hosting technical support service.

Thank you Aleksej  for your suggestions which I have saved should I have this or a similar problem again.  However, the Version 2019.3.13  update just received solved the problem with the addition fiddle of deselecting Captcha, uploading and then reselecting Captcha and uploading.

Thanks again, this thread is now complete and closed.
