Since the post mentioned by Andre, there have been made a lot of enhancements to the calendar.

Displays have been made, and I think that in most cases it will be relevant to integrate a display as it looks more nice.

Re Calendar on new version

I have just updated to 2020 version. I have found the various widgets from the last version but canot see the Full Calendar. With all the help above and the assumption that the calendar had been updated in the new version, I expected to find it in the categories but I can't.

Is there a calendar and if there is then where do I find it?

Are these on the new version somewhere or have they been discontinued for some reason?

I am particulalry needing the calendar because this was why I have just purchased the 2020 version.

You probably need to update your object library.

goto step 4, top right manage and refresh with button on top

check for full calendar (data visualization)

OK so I have now added the Full Calendar to a project page but I have absolutely no idea what to do with it. I understand how to change the appearance but when I click on Add it opens my explorer and says it cant find  - what? How do I make iCalendar files? I am making this site for the local church and I cant see them understanding or sparing the time if this is a complicated process to add dates. It really has to be bullit proof.

Why is there nothing in the Help section about the calendar? Hopefully I am missing the obvious but at the moment the calendar just looks like a fancy table that doesn't do anything.

Advice welcome. I want the calendar to just show dates and nothing more.

Adrian, this may not specifically help you, but when I need a calendar in a website I always embed the google calendar. A by-product is that other individuals (not just WX5 owners) can update the calendar at their leisure, all they need is the gmail address and password.

You can make callander files with any calendar, you need to upload that one with your appointments or link it to the x5 calander. The x5 calander functions as a copy of a calender you have on your pc or phone.

But as already stated before, the luxsoft calander is fantastic and gives you way more possibilities.

Re Luxcal

John S above kindly recommended I try Luxcal. I have and have had a lot of help from the owner who is currently helping me to find a way to embed the calendar on a website page. For some reason, this is proving difficult and I cant see why so I am looking for the experience of others here.

This is a churches website and we want a calendar to show the coming events in the various churches during the year as well as other events. The calendar design is brilliant thanks to Roel with categories and user groups etc. The calendar is, I think, best intended for a browser view which will take viewers away from the website with no obvious way to return them - no back links - and this is a problem for inexperienced older viewers. This is why we really need the calendar on a page in the website with writing boxes for parishioners to write in requests for dates.

In the past when I have embedded html flip books  or added Paypal buttons, I just add the generated code to the html box and everything works. For some reason this doesnt seem possible - yet so I am wondering if anyone has added a luxcal to their website and if so how did they do it given the limitations of the software.

You can see the problem on the website:

www.westridgewaychurches.co.uk   Click on Calendar and you will see a page that did have a calendar on it but because this was an overlay created by Roel, it disappeared when I uploaded the project.  Click on Calendar 2 and you will reach the Ideal Page with the functioning writing boxes on the right and the space to the left where I want the calendar to go.

I am hoping that I will be able to drop a load of html into the box that fills that space so that we will have a fully functioning calendar as well as the writing boxes.
