Website seems to be not compatible with latest php 7.4
Author: Rod M.When I upload my site I get the following message
"PHP version (Minimum version required 7.1.): 5.6.40"
This message did not happen till the new version of X5.
Most of my loaded pages got an "HTTP ERROR 500" on cantacting my hosting company they have Version 7.4 installed, they have wound back the PHP to 7.1 and the site is working properly again.
I would prefer to be confident that X5 is always campatible with the latest versions of what it should be working with. I'm not sure now if my hosting provider will leave it permanently pn PHP 7.1 (Undesiarable) or that I have to inform them when X5 is compatible with 7.4.
The website in question is cantatedomino.org Most top level pages worked OK - it was the lower level ones that had the HTTP ERROR 500. NB There is no error now because the PHP version has been rolled back.
The message says that version 5.6.40 was detected and not 7.4
7.4 or 5.6 what's right now?
JJ.
Hello.
For now, you can stay on version 7.1. It would be nice to know the server error logs. Also include the specific URL address where the error was. Perhaps this will speed up the solution to your situation.
I tested my site in PHP 7.4 and it worked fine. But the error may be associated with some object on the page or with the special settings of your hosting.
I sent a notification about your question to the company employees, expect an answer from them here in the comments.

Thank you for your responses.
Are the server error logs saved by Wesitex5 and if so where do I find them please?
The information clarifies the information I said earlier. (Hopefully).
The help that I got from the hoster specificly said that 7.4 was installed. These are the actual words "HostMonster have latest PHP version 7.4 updated whereas your site using old version 7.1 and I rolled back to 7.1 which fixed the issue. Please make sure, you update your site template to be compatible with latest PHP version to prevent same issue happening again in future." (I did not have a problem till recently [2 days ago] when I went to my web site and couldn't view certain pages).
The message generated by x5 is the first time that it has occured for me.
"Are the server error logs saved by Wesitex5 and if so where do I find them please?" - You can find out in the hosting technical support where exactly the server error log files are saved.
