If I install WebsitX5, is there a way to import my existing websites from the WWW?
Or
When Windows 10 installed, it created a folder to back up what it could of the crashed instalation. Can anything from C:\Windows.old.000 which contains Program Files, and User folders (such as they are)?
I have managed to restore another program using data from the backed up 'user' folder. I'm hoping that I can do the same for WebsiteX5, but I can't find anything significant.
Avalable folders are:
Perflogs
Program Files
Program Files (x86)
Users
Windows

Rod, sadly it is impossible to import a published site into WX5 (although recreating a website can be relatively painless by copy and pasting content to a new project).
Install WX5 by visiting your profile (top right this page) and get the most recent or required versions from download. You can also retrieve your license key/s
Assuming everything was in it's default location, you may find your projects all in the Incomedia folder, you could copy this folder to your documents and when you open WX5 it should see your projects if they are not corrupted.
users\yourname\documents\incomedia
Your projects should be in users\yourname\documents\incomedia\Website X5 - Pro folder
IF you have ever made a backup of your project/s and created an iwzip, then to reinstate the project it is only a matter of opening WX5 and selecting import. Please make regular backups in step 5, export project (I don't include backups or preview) and preferrable store them off your PC.
