Have set the "Responsive Design" so smartphones can see the site.  However, when I call up the site it doesn't work right.  Before I uploaded the change I looked at the preview and it looked okay to me.  I was mainly concerned about a PDF document that has 3 pages.  In fact it scrolled down the pages okay.  I uploaded the change and when I used my iphone it didn't work.  It only showed the first page of the PDF and the "Footer" came up.  Even before I made the change, the same thing happen.  It only showed the first page of the PDF document and there was the footer again.  Don't know what to do at this point.

Are you using the PDF Viewer gadget in X5?

If so, do not use this.

Instead, simply make a LINK to the PDF and it will display perfectly.

See www.jeffwillerton.com for an example.

Okay, I made a link and it's okay on my computer to see the PDF, however, it still doesn't work on my iPhone nor on my iPad?  It gives me the first page and that's all.

See: VP16Association.cfns.net Roster > members > PDF link.

Hello James,

Your site is not yet responsive.  You need to activate certain options within WebSite X5 to enable your website to adapt automatically to lower resolutions and smaller viewports.

There is a detailed guide on how to do this here:

How to create a Responsive Website

See also these other articles:

Responsive Web Design

Once you have made the necessary changes within WebSite X5 you should then reupload your site to the server in Step 5.

Kind regards,

Paul

Okay, I'm taking off responsive design.  Even then, everything works except PDF?  I can watch slideshows see all the pages. However, when I click on the PDF link it doesn't open into a PDF format it opens one page of the three pages?

I see all three pages, and can view all three pages even in smaller viewports.  It appears you might have a localised issue, James.

Here is the third page as viewed in my browser:

If it were a snake it would have bitten me.  All I needed to do was open it in a new window, which I did and that's why you saw all 3 pages.
