I saw where Edge was working ok when it wasn't on the computer that built the website. When I call for the video to play (http://vp16association.cfns.net/change-of-command-2019.html), it opens a window to save the file not play the video. When I close the window the webpage stays blink? I tried to open it with my wife's computer and the same thing happen, the window opens wanting to save the file? However, when I open it using IE and call the page up it opens just fine, no problem at all. I've uploaded that page several times with the same result.
HELP!

Is it possible for you to convert from mov to a mp4?
It should be possible then, to just put it in an iframe.
What does the pluginspage="http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/" do?
<embed src="videos/VP16CofC2019.mov" width="820" height="617" autoplay="true" controller="true" pluginspage="http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/">
It will play in Firefox - but it requires some bandwith.
Your file is 220 MB.
In Chrome it tries to download the file.
If you put the file on YouTube ( or maybe it is there already ) you should simply put that on your page - YouTube will supply the html code needed.
It will perform much better and will not take bandwith from your server.
You could then also use it as background

I really don't see an answer to my question, we doesn't Edge show the video. The X5 requires a "MOV" format. I'm still getting the widnow to "open", "save", it wants to download the file when it's already on the server when I uploaded it (see attached file). I have other video files on the site and they show up just fine.
X5 does not require a MOV file.
It operates best on mp4 files with H.264 encoding.
When you have a link, then it is the browser that "decides" what should happen to the file. It is also dependant on how the user has set up his browser. You cannot know that.
Again - the best way to handle video files on the web, is to make them as, or convert them to mp4.
The mp4 format can also be uploaded to YouTube.
I know this is also not an answer to your question, but it is a suggestion how you could have it to function.
Please note that .mov files are obsolete. As stated above, you need to encode your video as a .mp4 using the H264 wrapper. Then it will work perfectly in all current browsers.

Hey Everyone,
Thanks for your help. What I finally found was my browsing data in Edge needed to be deleted. I still have "MOV" videos on the site but I did convert the one I was trying to get on to MP4 and bingo, both Edge and IE show the file. It takes me just a little more time to get stuff in my head right -old age (79), but I try.
Again, thanks.

Hello James
Good you had it to function. And it seems that my suggestion anyhow was the answer to your question :-)
It seems that 79 is no age - good to know when we comes there - if we do.
Are you an old fighter or bomber pilot?
