Shinystat - help please  en

I set up a free shinystat account for www.metropolitanbusheybowlsclub.co.uk using my daughters email address. She receives weekly reports - all zero visits.

I add the shinystat icon to the footer in into the template content and it looks okay. I double click on the icon and put her shinystat user name (her email address) in the box. (The preview here shows a small blue box). I accept the change. When I preview the website the shinystat counter does not appear.

Does anyone have any idea what I am doing wrong?

Thanks

Pat

Do you have a blocker installed on your webbrowser, a lot off browser have these standard on.

Because of this, these blocker ar not very trustworthy and are used less and less.

Hi Andre - I don't think I have a blocker installed. If I preview my project from within the package the shinystat does not appear. Is there an alternative way to collect and report stats from within the Evo package?

Thanks for replying

Pat

In the preview mostly the links and software from remote are not displayed, also use of scripts are not all loaded in preview.

copy the link adres from the preview and add it in your browser and check again. Then you should see it if the browser has no block's set.

In the pro version the above trick is built in the preview but on EVO not.

If I put my username in the footer of the template content then the shinystat icon displays correctly in the preview. However my username is associated with another project and not linked to this one. If I put my daughters username then shinystat is not displayed. The link address is just index.html

you can still copy the index.html for test. But if you see it correct then there is no need. But for some codes or options it is, so you can always try it if needed.

You need the email adress from the account for shinastat that you also used to make an account at shinystat. Else you need to make another account at shinastat.

Just to be sure, you need to use the shina stat account name in x5 in the shinastat object not an email adress!

Im not sure about the Evo version as i use the pro version.  but ensure that the Box object with the shiny stat object is big enough to display the icon,  or it will not show.   its definitely there on your website in the source code.  see below..   make the box bigger with the object inside it  and try that...? And what Andre says within the software, ensure you put the Shinystat username  rather than email address in??   hope this helps..

/div></div><div id="imFooter_pluginAppObj_05_wrapper" class="template-object-wrapper"><!-- Shinystat Counter v.8 --><div id="imFooter_pluginAppObj_05"><script type="text/javascript" src="https://codicepro.shinystat.com/cgi-bin/getcod.cgi?USER=***" async="async"></script><noscript> <a href="https://www.shinystat.com/" target="_top"> <img src="https://noscript.shinystat.com/cgi-bin/shinystat.cgi?USER=***" alt="" style="border:0px" /></a> </noscript>

Thanks Andre & Andy. It needed the account name - which doesn't look like a name at all. It is now working. Brilliant.
