Hi
is there a place where I can see working some examples of Advertising Messages which can be set from Step 1?
There are some options there: what difference is between Advert and Cover Message?

No, there are no examples there just how to do it.
try it and test it into preview mode with the explanation done into documentation.
Not complicate.
always better to do it yourself

After some hours of testing exporting and upload I have found something that matches some of expectations.
The Cover way does not work because it is covering all screen regardless of image size. This is the answer I was hoping for :-)
The Bar solution was close to what I was searching for. It is great that one can choose the page on which Add is load.
