I have set up my Contact Form on my website. I have entered the following server details for my E-mail Server, Microsoft Office 365:
Email Script Type: Authenticated SMTP
SMTP Address: http//smtp.office365.com
Encryption Mode: TLS
Port: 587
My E-mail Login Details to my Office 365
My Sender E-mail, which is set for SMTP
The box is checked to allow sending from alternative senders
I have tested these settings in my website's Admin Panel, and I keep getting the message that the connection failed. For my Office 365, are there any particular settings I need to make to make my website connect successfully? Thanks!

Update! I contacted my Host Provider and made changes to my DNS Records. It can take up to 24-48 hours to see the changes. The issue is a "fail to connect." Hopefully, this will solve my problem.
Hello Jerald,
should the issue occur after 48 hours or so, please let us know and provide a screenshot of what errors are visible in the e-mail log on the Admin Panel.
Thank you.

Hi,
I still have a connection issue, even after updating my DNS Records.
This may help. My hosting service is GoDaddy, and my email account is Microsoft Office 365, which I got through them.
I spent some time with their Tech Support, and it concluded with them sending me to this page to get my Contact Form to work: https://www.godaddy.com/help/send-form-mail-using-an-smtp-relay-server-953
I have also attached a copy of my email log from my admin panel.
These are my current software settings:
E-mail Script Type: Authenticated SMTP
SMTP Address: smtp.office365.com
Encryption Mode: TLS
Port: 587
Username and Password for my Office 365 E-mail account.
My Sender E-mail Address: Which is my Office 365 Email address.
Any help to solve this would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Hi,
I wanted to add that I would be open to switching to another hosting server, like what Website X5 has available, if it would make my form more compatible. After reviewing everything, you can advise me on the best way to go.
Thanks!
Hello Jerald,
have you tried getting back to GoDaddy with the ongoing error after making the changes mentioned in their guide, to see whether they had additional recommendations?

Hi Eric,
I spent a great deal of time with them to figure it out. They concluded by sending me this article on setting up an SMTP relay server to get the form to work: https://www.godaddy.com/help/send-form-mail-using-an-smtp-relay-server-953
I followed their suggestion in the article and it still doesn't work.
I wonder if there is a compatibility issue with GoDaddy when using Office 365?
I'm pretty much at a standstill with the form.
Thanks!
Hello Jerald,
this may be the case, but unfortunately I cannot say for certain, being a third-party provider.
Have you considered switching to a standard domain e-mail address from them, instead of using the Office 365-based one?

I haven't thought about that, but it may be an area I will explore. If I changed my hosting to what X5 offers and kept my Office 365 email, would I run into the same issue?

Update: Hi Eric, I have moved my hosting to a new, what I feel, is a better hosting company. I have also moved away from my Office 365 email account and will follow your suggestion to use a standard domain e-mail address from the new hosting company. I will keep you updated.
