Converting IWP to IWZIP without V8?  en

I had a project built in Compact X5 V8 when i got a virus and lost my software.

I just downlaoded compact 9 to upload and edit that same project. It asks for an iwzip file now, not a iwp, yet i cannot convert the file to this format. The only information i can find to solve this is opening the file in v8 and exporting it to a iwzip file.

But i don't have v8 anymore and cannot download it anywhere.

Can someone please tell me how to fix this?!

Thanks for your comment, however the V9 won't allow me to import any file other than a .iwzip!
Any other suggestions??

Hello Anna,

you are talking about Compact version. The Compact version 9 has different features vs version 8 (ie: Blog), so the conversion from 8 to 9 is not possible. For this reason you cannot find the IWP import command. The fastest solution is to use copy/paste command for the text and import the same images... Wink

Yes Anna, you can upgrade from Compact 9 to Evolution 9. You just need to pay the difference from Compact 9 to Evo 9. In this case we can do in this way: I can convert your Compact 8 project to Evolution 8, so you can open the Evo 8 from Evo 9 that will automatically converts it. Let me know if you are interested, so you can attach here a Zipped copy of your IWP Compact 8 file and I can convert it to Evo 8. Wink
