Script for database and email

Kinda disappointed because I talk to someone else in another post about database from form and ask why its not sending email. The person told me not possible. well did some research and found I only needed the script to acomplish this. not good that no one knew to tell me this in the first place and wasted 2 days searching for the write person to write this script. now this works perfectly like I asked in the other post which I will attach to this post later not good of your moderators..

Unfortunately if you choose to send the form request to a database it doesn't sends an email to you but only the confirmation email to the customer.
I would like to suggest that you open an "Idea" Post where you describe to us the feature you would like to see implemented in the future releases of WebSite X5.

To accomplish this you needed to change the script file and it was not a standard feature of WebSite X5.

IF YOU CHANGE THE SCRIPT FILE IN WEBSITEX5 FTP (MAIL) FOLDER. Will X5 erase AND OVERWRITE after upload? where do I need to put this script if so. So that when uploading it does not erase everytime I edit site and upload it? Please let me know I paid someone to make this script for me and worked like a charm to email and datbase, until I did a new upload? I was told he just added 4 lines of php code to the websitex5 script in mail ftp. He wrote
I wrote a 4 line code and attached it into the scripts generated by your software which are placed in mail directory. If you are fine with both the form (Home and contact us), I will show you how you can copy paste those lines into different scripts for all the forms.

With an update of the program, a full export, or a change in the form the file can be overwritten during the export. It would be better to keep a copy of the modified file and then after you export the project to check if it has been changed. You can use an external FTP Client like Filezilla to check the file and update it with the old one or to add the custom code to the new file.

Steve did you get this to work reliably? I am also looking to to send to database and email the contents of the form.. How did you accomplish this and using what script? Thanks Rav
