Hi Steven,

Can you give some more information...  are the videos refusing to play online, or in the preview, or both?

Which browser(s) are you using?

What operating system(s) are you using?

Have you tried refreshing your X5 project by clearing cache and cookies, deleting all files on the server, and reuploading your entire project to the server?

Hi Steven,

The video on the homepage at www.lmfa.com.au is in .avi format as opposed to Flash.  You will need to ensure you have the appropriate Windows Media plugin installed in your browser before it will play.

There have been some changes to the way Internet Explorer handles media files in version 10.

I strongly advise converting your media files to .mp4 as this will ensure greatest compatibility across the widest range of devices, not only desktop computers but also mobile phones and tablets.

PS: I meant to also point out that .mp4 files are optimised for streaming, whereas your .avi file will require buffering before it will play in the browser, even if the relevant plugin is installed.

It would probably be best to embrace the new technology and make the switch to .mp4 now.

Kind regards,

Paul

Paul,

Thanks for the advise I will try it this week and let you know.

I have also been on to adobe as it seems that other people have the same issue after updating adobe.

Cheers

Steven
