Problem loading site  en

I'm using Firefox (latest version) on a Windows XP machine. When using the Firefox browser, every time I try to load my actual website, a box pops up at the bottom left of my screen that says, "waiting on count.carrierzone.com". This takes forever (2 or 3 minutes). When I open my website in Explorer, this does not happen and it opens right away. Any suggestons. I noticed several references to count.carrierzone.com in the source code for my website. The sight is www.fbc-hamburg.com

Hello Alan,

The reference to 'count.carrierzone.com' relates to a script which records statistical information about the users who visit your site.

It's definitely not connected in any way to WebSite X5, and will not be part of your project files unless you have specifically inserted the JavaScript as custom code (which I'm sure you haven't...  else you wouldn't be asking!)

This is most likely something to do with your webhost, or the configuration of your web server.  There may be options in your online control panel to deactivate this script...  if not then it would be a good idea to email your webhost and ask them to do it on your behalf.

There are quite a few instances of this particular script delaying page loading, and no-one seems to have much positive to say about any possible benefits, so in my humble opinion you would be best to get rid of it.

Incidentally, the script does actually load within Internet Explorer...  it's just that Explorer disguises the delay in the background, as opposed to Chrome clearly indicating it in the status bar.

Kind regards,

Paul
