Duplicate Project Error  en

I'm currently making changes to a project in Evo 9 and instead of starting all over again with the template I have simply duplicated the project to save time. However, when I make changes to the sitemap and preview the project the new menu is missing.

To be specific this is what I did:

1. Duplicated project.

2. Renamed the duplicate project.

3. Opened the duplicate project and removed all the levels.

 4. Created new levels.

5. Previewed the project but the menu is now missing.

I have tried this several times now and either the menu is missing or the original menu is visible even though it has been removed.

I don't know what to do next.

Hello,

In the first instance you could try holding down the 'CTRL' key whilst entering the preview in your Step 5 as above  -  this will force WebSite X5 to refresh its cache of your project structure, and might well solve your issue.

If not, let us know!

Kind regards,

Paul

Correction - It worked on one particular attempt but I continue to have the same problem.

OK, please try this next:

Make sure X5 is closed.  Navigate to your project folder (the path is listed in the 'Preferences' screen, which is accessible from the menu on the left-hand side when you first open X5)

Once in the project folder, go into the sub-folder of the specific project you're working on.

You will see two folders named 'Preview' and 'Upload'  -  delete both of these in their entirety along with all their contents.

Now restart X5 and open your project.  Keep the 'CTRL' key pressed as before, whilst entering the preview for the first time.

Verify if the issue is then resolved.

Kind regards,

Paul
