Image Gallery Object pictures not showing at full size in showbox  en

I'm running x5Evolution10. I have set a Gallery object to display an enlarged image to a maximum size of 999x999 pixels. When I click on the thumbnail, the enlarged image appears no larger than 800 pixels wide. The same object contains up to ten images, eight of which are 800 pixels wide and two of 999 pixels wide, but the enlarged images are all approximately the same width on screen, so the larger image is obviously not being shown at its full size. Have I missed something?

what is the width of your template? size of your picture can not exceed the width of your template!

It's 990 pixels wide. My header is 960, and the background left and right margins are each 15 pixels. From what you say, Anthony, I now understand that my showbox picture can be a maximum of 990 pixels wide, but it still looks a lot less (nearer 800).

open your gallery object, overe there you can see the usable width of your template, there is no max for height, but try to keep the ratio of your picture.

please see the attachment, the arrow will show you the place that gives you maximum number of your width.

Thanks, Anthony. I'm using the 'Thumbnails Per Frame' gallery type, and the maximum width is set to 999.

I wrote the same site in x5v8 previously, and then my 999px images did display larger in the showbox. I don't understand why I'm getting a different result in v10.

Hi Anthony,

Yes, it's www.progressiveplayersgateshead.co.uk/2014.html .

It's an amateur drama club. The link is for the year 2014 page, but the same thing happens on all other pages. There are ten images; from left to right the first eight are all 800px wide, and the last two are each 999px. Thanks for having a look.

it Looks good, remember if you strech the pictures from their original size, it will look blury!

image object being improved to keep your original image ratio and thats a good thing.

as I see your pictures been set to 800x532, 800x571, 800x525, 999x713, 999x711,...

the different height is the result of your original picture size, if you wish to keep all of them in same size I will suggest 2 methods:

1, after adding your picture to your gallery, sellect edit image and use the corp tool over there to make sure you have same H and W on every picure.

2, use program like photoshop to edit your pictures, then add them in your image gallery.

other than that, your gallery looks good to me. now remember ppl who visit your website are using different resolution setting in their computers, if they have 800x600 resolution, best view for them in W is between 700 to 800px, so you dont want them to see scroll bar in image gallery so its better to keep the W not more than 800px, in that case everyone will see the same result.

if the method I suggest was working for you, please mark this post as a solved post.

Good Luck
