HTML Object - expert tab file cleardown  en

I am having problems when using the HTML Object. I am incorporating the WOW slider into a site that I will be building shortly. In preparation I have set up a test project.

Initially the adding of the WOW slider worked well, however when I made changes to it to glitz it up problems were experienced.

Deleting a file item and adding the latest version back in resulted in duplication errors. This not only happened with js & css files but with jpg's as well. An example image is attached

Exporting the files to disk resulted in deleted versions of folders / files appearing in the created exported files , I did use the crtl/preview to clear out the cache.

X5 crashed when amending file item information. I have not tried this with v10 Evolution.

Also copying an HTML object to another page / project does not take the added  items in the expert tab, they have to be added again.

Hello Nigel,

If you used the file as example like in the image script.js in another part of your project  you don't need to add it again since it would be a duplicate whcih should overwrite the existing one but the program does not allow to have more files with the same name. In this case add the files or with a different name or if these are the same only once in the project and in the other pages use only the code to load them since they are already inthe correct path.

Many thanks!

Hi Claudio,

just discovered that I had another problem, where I had used, in an earlier version of the problem HTML Object, files placed into a different directory which were superceeded by the same files in a new directory. Some of this history had stayed. THis was appearing in the generated pages. What I have done is restarted a new project and managed to get most of the functionality working as expected. (I hope I have explained clearly to you)

What I think was happening was, occassionally the routine crashed and when restarted picked up a corrupted project. Details of the crash were sent to Incomedia on or before 18/07/2014 via the in built error routine.

At the moment I have an almost working WOW gallery and will be tracking through the code to see whether I can sort it. I realise what I am doing  is not supported as a add in script but there may be a problem with data being left in a crash. It is hard to remember the steps 3+ days on.

regards Nigel

Hello Nigel,

This error message usually appears if 2 files with the same name are uploaded in the same folder and probably you had in another aobject already a file called script.js

I'm glad to hear you could make your code work now.

Many thanks!
