I'm not sure what happend but this way you might solve it:

export website in step5, set destination folder top right to empty. (the one there now is probably faulty. (I would suggest also to use full upload after updating)

Now connect and choose your default upload folder, after that x5 will ask to fill this in , say yes and start uploading (again yes) Now all should work again.

Let me know if things don't work out.

It doesn't work

the provider tel me that the folder should be /public_html/ 

but the folder is /public_html without the slash and i can not change this.

I wonder why this has changed in the progrma as i di not do anything

i found the answer in the post and it seems to be know

you have to tab use passive ftp. 

seems to work here.

Yes but then the passive must have been changed if it worked before, eather ay your end or at host.
