Adding non-standard font  en

I'm trying to add a non-standard font (Giddyup Std) that is not available from Google Fonts or Font Squirrel.

I have downloaded the font file from fontzone.net and the font is available in Word and other programs, but when I try to add it to WebSite X5 under: Preferences > Web font > Add, the font file isn't visible under any of the four options, presumably because it's an Open Type font file (.oft) rather than TIFF, WOFF, SVG or EOT.

Is any way of adding such a font, please?

Many thanks for any suggestions.

Hello Anne,

To use a non websafe font for the your website you need to search for the webfont version of containing the TTF, WOFF, SVG and EOT file since these are the formats which then will be able to be displayed on the website. The OTF file cannot be used as webfont.

Try to search if it exist a webfont version fo this font and then you will be able to add it in the program. The TTF file is necessary to make it work. If you have also the other formats you will have a better compatibility on all the devices.

Many thanks!
