Help me, please! I do not want to start the project from the beginning.

Once I chose a background image file (psd) for the menu button, I can not edit a menu anymore. When I try editing a menu, there are no edit components in the edit window - it's just empty.

Here's a link to the empty edit menu window

make regular backups if you start a new project or have made a lot of changes, in step5 export project, even if you will continue working, create them.

Does the preview work, and the rest of the optons? esle you could try to make a backup now in step5.

but other then that, I think there is only 1 thing to do, close it and hope there is a project when you start again.

goodluck

I closed and reopen the program again. Project is here. Preview work (attach file), but I still can not edit a menu. Edit menu window is the same empty.

Are there other programs interfering?

Try fresh start of pc with almost no other programs running.

if this does not help, reinstall x5, you can download latest version top right pulldown next to your name.

Hope one of these will help.

I restarted the computer. It did not help. The problem remained the same. Then I downloaded the latest version of Webside X5 and reinstalled the program. The problem remained the same.I do not have much time for experiments.I am disappointed with this program.
I will have to start the project from the beginning to finish this site on time.

Thank you very much for the time you spend, to try to help me!I appreciate it a lot!
But I think this case is a Causa perduta. However, I will mark your response as helpful.Hope you benefit from this.

Thanks,
Soorry it did not help, have seen this multiple times in the forum, in these items it was always related to another software program. but it looks like this time not.

If a new project works, then you could also try to export projext, import that exported program and see if that has helped, else it's indeed starting over.

And again make regular backups, after a longer periode of smalle changes or after a lot of changes even if you will still wwork further, this way you will always have something to fall back on, it's not needed much but if then it's nice to have.

Best Regards

The PSD is not supported by WX5, but it would be better if when used by mistake WX5 simply refused to accept it.

I downloaded a PSD, made it the menu background image and when I returned the same thing happened, the menu could not be edited - just a blank screen.

You can fix it by going to template, template content and deleting the menu object, then simply drag a new menu object into the header. Do not use PSD files :-)

Thanks for your advice, Andre E.!From now on, I will always keep them in mind.

Esahc, yes, I was very disappointed to realize that psd files is not supported. This graphic format should be supported! Everyone knows it - it gives a lot of visualization capabilities - alpha channel, semi-transparency, texture, bevel, gradient overlay, glow, and so on - you also know that. No need to explane what this means for every web designer.

If psd is not supported, you should not be able to select it, if it is supported it should work.

@ Incomedia, please fix and preferred is the last option, not the first. innocent

Hello everyone

I can confirm that I reported this particular quirk to the developers so that psd files are officially no longer selectable in said field.

Of course the format could never be accepted, since a PSD is but a "project" file for its dedicated program (Photoshop) and perhaps other compatible ones, but is not made to be used as an actual finished image anywhere on the web

Thank you for your report

Stefano
