Conversion V8 To V9 - Wrong Line Spacing  en

Hello,

the v9 version of my website has a much larger line-spacing which I have to correct to normal again. I think I have checked all available settings, but I can't find where I can do this. Can anybody help me? With the larger spaces between the lines, my pages are too long now and they don't look good anymore. Grateful for any advice.

M.

Just to clear up any misunderstanding, my site (created in version 8) rendered text and line spacing the same way in all the browsers I tested (Firefox 6, Explorer 9, Opera 11, Chrome 14, Safari 5, and Lunascape 6. Moving my site over to X5evolution version 9 has increased line spacing for all text constained in text boxes, and there is now far too much white space between lines of text when the site is viewed in the preview screen, and in all the test browsers.  The responce in post 2017 that says " line-height is fixed. This is due to the fact that this value is correctly rendered in all the browsers" does not provide a fix that can be applied site wide. Yes, css can be applied page by page, but this is clumsy.

Actually, is not possible to change the line height directly in the software. In your case using a line height smaller than the one used by the software does not cause an issue, but we had a lot of customers who reported problems with v8 and some font type. That's why we decided to use a larger line-height.

A higher line height improves site readibility. I suggest you to read paragraph 6 at: http://www.smashingmagazine.com/2009/08/20/typographic-design-survey-best-practices-from-the-best-blogs/

Notice that Smashing Magazine uses a line-height which is really similar to the one used by website x5.

So, how can I change the line height in my web pages?

In which directory is the css code saved?

why does ICM think they can decide what we SHOULD have and not give us the option to have what WE WANT ?

The line height is stored in the css files saved in the pcss folder on your website. You should change it after exporting the site.

I'd like to reopen this discussion.  The line spacing in V9 is odd.  Make excuses all you like but there should be an option for single spacing (as V8) or space and a half (V9) I agree and it's now causing problems for me, the spacing is now odd.  This always happened within a Table in V8 and cause problems in that but now to have to put up with it for all text on webpages created in X5 V9 is unacceptable.  I have converted one of 6 sites from V8 to V9 but my customer is unhappy with new appearance.  I will not be converting remaining sites until this is addressed.  I am keen to know what others think and has anyone found a way around this.
