If the pages are from identical versions of the software (e.g. both X5 projects are version 10) then you can simply open an additional instance of the software from the Windows 'Start' menu, and drag and drop your pages from the sitemap (in Step 2) from one project to the other.

WebSite X5 has full drag and drop support in this regard.  You can copy, cut and paste Objects, text, images, parts of pages, or complete pages, etc.

If however, the pages are from differing versions (e.g. version 8 to 10, or version 9 to 10) then you will need to export the entire project in Step 5 of the older version, then import it into the newer version.

Bear in mind that direct conversion from v8 to v10 is not possible  -  in that instance you have to do an intermediate import into v9.
