Again about duplicate files / images

I have elaborated the issue of duplicated images on export many times. No solution yet. This is the reason I did't upgrade.
Now I am receving a mail from host:
The user xyz has almost reached their disk quota.
The account currently uses 82.08% (2.46 GB/3 GB) of its disk capacity.
The account currently uses 19.66% (29,496/150,000) of its available files.
Remove some files from this account, or ask the system administrator to increase the account’s disk quota.
....
So the duplicates exported are 80%.

In older versions such as the one you're using the software still didn't have any built in functionality to easily remove unused or older content stored inside the project.
At times, it was necessary to manually delete certain pages or backups to make sure that no duplicated content was presented, and even then sometimes it wasn't enough.
The issue can be fully resolved only in the newer versions, where this functionality was implemented and performs correctly and automatically.
You can unlink all unused and old files from backups and the project to make it way lighter, without having to work with the project files themselves.
At the moment, this is the correct way to proceed to make sure that the project is as light as possible without older content being still inside it.
