Hello.

I am new to WebSite X5 and am using Pro 14.

The question previously posted as https://helpcenter.websitex5.com/en/post/162777 is the same as a problem I have with "out of stock" message form the shopping cart.

The question previously posted states that the problem was solved, but the method of solving it was not given.

Could the original person with the problem please state how they solved their problem, or someone else who has had this problem may be able to help me.

Thanks in anticipation,

Barry M.

Barry,

It helps if you gave some information about what you already did and from where on it fails.

In short you need to create a databse with your hosting company, add this info in x5 and use it only for stock items. (settings -> advanced tab -> datamanagement.

then goto settings advanced tab and shopping card, then sending order, set it to send to database

also in the product itself you need to set the availability way for that product, this way you can choose what products you want the availability on, do this in the availability TAb

I also set some help file links have you followed them?

This one might help also: http://help.websitex5.com/en/v13/pro/carrello_prodotti_imp_prodotti.htm

check the F1 in x5, it is realy goor help file.

Goodluck, let e know how it works out.

Hello, Andre.

Thanks for looking at my post.

I was having a problem where I got 'Out of stock' for every item in my shop. The problem has gone away, and I believe that the problem was solved because I used Website X5 to upload my site to my hosting service. In the past, I had been exporting the website to disk (a folder on my PC) and then using an FTP progrm (in this case FILEZILLA) to upload the contents of this folder to my hosting service. This did not initialize the product databases on the hosting platform. I probably missed the information somewhere that I had to use Website X5 to do the uploading for the database to be initialized with my stock. Perhaps it should be pointed out that exporting the site to a disk folder and then uploading that folder to the hosting service does not initialize the product database.

Thanks for your suggestions on where to find documentation.

Best wishes,

Barry

Hello Barry,

Thanks for the feedback.

Glad it works now.

It should be exactly the same through filezilla. So that could be something in x5, it is something for Incomedia to check. Or also a setting in Filezilla.

If I have some time I will look at it.
