Menu style management -can't change a flying menu for a fixed one.  en

I've imported a website that was originally authored in X5 V11. It's now in X5 Pro 15.1.1

It's a simple old website, and the original templat was similar to that currently shown as Community & Edication 20. Imported as it was, the old site was kind of OK (aprt from looking a bit dated), but what should have been a vertical menu turned out to be a mad menu that flew in from the left.

I changed the template, hoping that would eliminate the flyinbg menu. I changed it the Community & Education 20 template, which quite clearly has a very plain vertically listed menu, present in the left-hand side bar.

Only, it doesn't. In my version, the sidebart simply shows a menu icon. Click it, abd the menu flies in from the lft.

Right now, I simply ned that vertically listed, permanenetly-visible, non-flying menu.

Does anyone know how I can achieve that?

Yes,

The menu is not incorporated in the template anymore, it is an object that you can use every where.

offcource also in the template.

In the menu object ( you need to find it) I gues in the template, there are settings to select from where and how it is displayed. The menu object itself can like any other object be made bigger or smaller.

If the content of the menu does not fit the size of the menu x5 automaticly switches to the 3 stripes better known as hamburgermenu.

see also here in x5, there are many topiics on it.

Hi Roger,

thank you for your message.

If you have a vertical menu, please make sure that on Step 2 - Template >Template Structure the option Header, footer and left  or right side bar (depending on where your side bar is) is set.

Then, please go to Step 2 - Template >Template Content, Side Bar section. You should find the Object Menu there. You can resize the Object by clickin on it and by dragging the grips until you can see the normal menu back.

Please let me know if I can be of further help. Kind regards.
