Gallery images are being distorted greatly in width

I just noticed something weird on my website. Images using the gallery object are displaying wide and
being distorted. Tried it in IE and Firefox, so not a browser thing. There have been 3 little updates to X5
in the last couple of weeks. One of these updates is distorting the way galleries show images.
Please use this web page as an example:

Click on any picture. Instead of it enlarging proportionally, it is being stretched wide. Other galleries in
other sections of my site are doing the same thing. How do we fix this?

possible solution to try:
hold down the Ctrl key on the keyboard and while holding it down click on "Preview" in Website X5 to launch the preview.
Ciao
Agreed John, it is quite obvious with the soap holders, I am sure there will be a v2020.1.11 soon.
Hi John
I have the same problem with the images in the gallery, it seems to be definitely a programming error in the software of WebSite X5.

On the link that Giuseppe provided, someone else raised the concern and Stephano said X5 is aware of it and will
attempt to release another update shortly to fix the problem. With some luck, all we will have to do is just
upload our sites after updating the version ... and then look and see.
I have not checked out all my pages that I have galleries set up on, but I suspect they are all doing the same
thing. Should be a universal fix, since it is a universal bug.
Hi all, For all purposes...
I had the same problem when testing the Preview 2020.2 version, all my vertical images were distorted.
So I checked version 2020.1.10 and the problem was the same.
After importing the IWZIP backup file from version 2019.3.17 everything is back in order.
Before........................................................ After import.
Michele said me " We've managed to verify the issue and we're working on it" (my post is Private).

Jiper,
I can see that my last upload has 2020.1.10. I went into the program right now and version 2020.1.11 does not
seem available for download, and I do see that it is dated today from your link. I even checked for updates and it is not coming
up. Any idea of when it, or the fix for the wide bug picture problem will be available?
Hello John,
2020.1.11 is in Beta at the moment. If you'd like to trial it then you can do so by subscribing to the Beta program, here:

However, if past experience is anything to go by then I am sure that the update will be rolled out mainstream very shortly anyway.

Thanks, Paul. Let's hope it is soon. These wide images are not looking so hot. It appears to be distorting shopping
cart images too when you have more than one image assigned. I'm sure a lot of customers are wondering what
is going on. So far no customers have said anything though. That could be trouble too.
Yes, it will be, but thankfully this is a known issue already too:

I really don't think you'll have to wait long at all for the fix/update. Good luck!

Let's convert all our websites to "The House of Mirrors."
Luck had better be with us. Best luck will be for no one to look at larger images of the thumbnails for the moment.
The fix for this issue is now available to all licenced WebSite X5 users in version 2020.1.12

Whoo Hoo! I no longer feel like I am in a scrap car compactor when looking at my gallery images. Squares are
squares again and no more panoramic fat photos. Thanks, Paul, for keeping me up to speed on when the
fix happened.
