Try a reset of pc, do a full upload and check again, hopefuly this helps....

An update has been released in BETA that solves the problem.

If you want to try the update before it is officially released, consult the Beta and Preview page of your Help Center profile.

I just encountered it to. The captcha disappeared from the contact forms. Thus cannot send form data.
And the shopping cart does not work. Cannot send data. Get that Generic error message.
Very similar to the PHP handler error that happened a few months ago.

Paul was able to resolve my PHP error when the contact forms and cart stopped working.

Please chime him in on this one.

How do I access this fix in the Beta to quickly resolve the order?

And, for the normal update to be released that does fix this, any idea of how many days?

Going to be maddening for customers to go through the whole cart process, ready to pay, and then Generic Error.

Do you think this is a PHP issue? Feels very familiar.

Stefano and others. I did go into Beta and activated my license for it.

I downloaded it, and then re-uploaded all the web pages.

The cart does work, the captcha returned to the contact form and it did send the info.

Thank you. This will allow me to take the weekend off and not monitor the phone.

Regarding to Error 500.

I've this solution.

Before that, I've checked that my domains were auto updated to PHP7.3 (inherited).  Form won't work and data won't display.  What I did was downgraded PHP7.3 to PHP7.1 and walla, it all work fine.  Back to normal.

Hoping this sharing will be useful to all.

I didnt know that 2020.2 was a BETA version !! I m going to use a BETA version, but i want to use the old one 2020.1 that it seems its working fine.

But i CANT work with the old one because, after installing 2020.2 when i try to open an older project, the system BY Default is going to convert project to the newer version 2020.2. Is it possible the user to have the option to convert or not?

Can you pls HELP at least to solve this problem?

if you want to use an older project you need to install the older version, you can find them in the top right next to your name pulldown, goto download and use the option for other versions (editions). But using the beta is same thing, if the problem is solved there you have the benefit of the new version and bug solve's

Where can i find the beta version Andre?

Top right next to your name pulldown -> preview and beta 

Be sure tp let x5 make a copy of your project (just to be sure) else you won't be able to switch back if needed, but i don't think this will be needed.

So the beta is released and now available as normal version, so the beta itself is not there anymore.
