Just tried to install X5 Pro on my new laptop, but it fails when I try to start it with the attached message. I get the message immediately when it starts, but it does then just sit there saying bÜpdating Libraries", but it never finishes.

Wes, this appears to be an error opening a project. Can you open/create a new project?

If so, can you create an iwzip of the old project in the old version (step 5 export project) and then import the iwzip?

What version was the old project created in?

It appears you are missing microsoft dependencies. Is your laptop connected to the internet?

None the less, I am sure someone will look at the attached screenshot and advise the specific package required (or I will get access to a PC and look again)

Okay, I have:

  • Downloaded the X86 software.
  • Run the repair program.
  • Re-started Windows.
  • Tried X5 but it still failed the same way.
  • Uninstalled X5

Now I can't remember how to download and re-install X5. Can someone help?
