Send form contents protected?

I was wondering if there is a way to send the contents of the filled out form in a protected or encryped way? I have a client that wants to be able to let their site visitors to place an order by providing the required info through a form which isn't a problem but then they want credit card info. Is there a way to do that?

the only way to protect the information filled in the form , is to have the SSL certificate installed on your server that transform the website in https:// instead of http://
You must contact the internet service provider of the website and ask if it's possible to install the SSL certificate.
